Four Burmese individuals and two businesses have been added to the sanctions list

On the third anniversary of the military coup in Myanmar, the United States released a new list of sanctions against Myanmar. Three individuals and two companies affiliated with the Burmese military have been added to the sanctions list.

The statement of the US State Department said that it targeted those who support the production of military weapons for the Myanmar military . The two companies that have been prosecuted are Shwe Bayin Phyu Company Group and Myanmar Five Star Shipping Company owned by Myanmar Private Limited. The four individuals are U Thein Win Zaw, owner of Shwe Bayin Phyu Group; His wife, Daw Tin Min Lat, than her daughter Thu Win His son Win Pein Kyaw. The Golden Heron and Five Star Company have been banned by Canada since last year.
