Karen National Liberation Army KNLA/PDF and local joint forces are blocking the Military Council’s military strategic camp in Anang Square, so they are continuously bombarding the military camp and firing heavy weapons. Comrade Thein Lwin, commander of ABSDF Battalion (1) who is fighting in the area, told VOA that the number of people surrendering from the army side has also increased.

“About 40 people surrendered last week. About 30 people surrendered last month. About 70 people have received weapons. At most, there are only 30 people left. Their entire Anang King strategy is only a few hundred. Airstrikes are coming, artillery columns are coming from the Ye City side, reinforcements are coming, but they have to retreat. The PDF coalition forces on this side are surrounded and surrounded, and they retreat using airstrikes.”

Comrade Thein Lwin also said that the road from Mawlamyine to Tanintharyi was blocked by the joint forces.

“There’s only that royal palace strategy left on the side of Kuin Peygyi, the rest is gone. We’ve cut off all the food roads. Now we’ve cut off the left side, at No. 8 Union Road, No. 8 Union Road is from Ye-Tanintharyi. From Mawlamyine, along that road is controlled by our PDF and our allies KNU/KNLA. The road will not be closed. If we conduct operations because we need to I ordered the road to be closed.”

Locals also said that now Anang Kuin Camp, which is an important strategy of the army, can only stand as a defense and is no longer offensive, and is being blocked and attacked by joint forces. He also said that last week, joint forces attacked military bases in Mon State.

“Just last week, the military went to attack the Khlara 358 Tamphyuzarap infantry unit, 5 people were killed and 3 were injured. Just last week, we went to the model camp of the Dombi army. There, 5 people were killed, including the captain, and many were injured.”

I tried to contact the Military Council regarding the military situation in Kwa In Pygyi Township, but I was unable to contact them. Since October 13th, the coalition forces have stepped up their military blockade and attack, and the military council has carried out airstrikes and bombardment.
