U Nay Phoo Ba Swe is a son of U Ba Swe (17 October 1915 – 6 December 1987) who was the second Prime Minister of Myanmar (Burma) and who was also was a leading Burmese politician during the decade after the country gained its independence.
U Nay Phoo Ba Swe is an experienced civil engineer who had worked for various prominent government organizations such as Electric Power Corporation and Construction Corporation and also for other private organizations such as Serge Pun & Associate (Myanmar) Ltd, Kappa International Ltd, Dagon Manufacturing Co, Ltd etc. He is currently engaged in civil engineering consultant works.
Although he lacks in political credentials, his relative youth, ardor, education and freshness is a plus. He vowed to resume his father’s unfinished job of reintroducing democracy to Myanmar.
